Cityscapes
The cityscapes below were produced in the
late eighties and early ninties, forming a series of
canvases based on walking around the neighbourhood
where I lived in Islington. This series eventually culminated
in 'The View from Blackfriars Bridge to Westminster Bridge'.

Imaginary Cityscapes
Below shows six 'Imaginary Cityscapes' — with the exception of
'Horton Mansions'. The drawings combine various generic
aspects of the city with more familiar, local features. The
drawings beame the starting point of the paintings show above.
